1852, William III. 10 centimes black, first printing, 2 horizontal pairs, the first one cut into the outer frameline at lower right, otherwise ample to large margins, the second one with well ballanced margins , tied by green 'pointe perforante' to entire letter to Sarreguemines in France with 2 adjacent strikes of red cds. "LUXEMBOURG 18 SEPT 52". A fine and most attractive letter with rare cancellation, used just 5 days after the issue of the first stamp of Luxemburg and an extremely early (if not the earliest) first issue letter to abroad.
