1863, Entire double rate letter dated "Leipzig am 31. Januar 63", privately carried to Crempe in Holstein and here dropped in a letterbox endorsed "frei" in the lower left, postally endorsed "Kassenbrief nicht bezahlt (signature)" and sent from "CREMPE 9/2 1863" to Riepen, charged with "12" skilling in red crayon to be paid by the recipient.
