7 ch. grey, three examples used on reverse of attractive registered cover from Tabriz to Modena, Italy tied by TABRIZ datestamps with framed ´R´on front. Scarce.

10 ch. rose used on Registered Parcel Delivery Advice form used in 1892 for tobacco delivery, type unlisted in Shaida, neatly tied by octagonal RESCHT datestamp (12/9) in black. Creased away from adhesive, rare.

14 ch. orange, single franking on 1894 cover from Shiraz to Cairo, Egypt via Bombay; the adhesive tied by SCHIRAS despatch cds (20/10). Reverse with Bouchir cds, Bombay cds (Nov 7), "Sea Post Office" cds, Suez cds (Nov 21) and arrival. Part flap missing but a scarce double rate usage.

1894: 1 ch. violet, three examples used on Newspaper Wrapper to Jena, Germany cancelled by watery URMIA datestamps in black with ´Tauris´transit (2/11) with date inverted above. A rare rate.

2 ch. green, irregular block of five used on reverse of cover to Teheran all tied by oval "Imperial Bank of Persia" in blue and by octagonal RESCHT datestamps in black.

2 ch. green (2), 5 ch. blue and 10 ch. orange all used on 5 ch. grey-blue postal stationery envelope, paying the registered rate to London, tied by DJOULFA datestamps in black. Teheran transits and London arrival (July 22) also on front. Minor aging but a most attractive cover. 

2 ch. green pair and 8 ch. brown (4 examples) used on reverse of 1896 registered - AR internal cover tied by TEHERAN datestamps (17/11) with framed Á:R:´ handstamp on front. Cover sensibly opened for Exhibit display, a rare usage.

2 ch. green and 10 ch. orange used on 1894 cover to St. Petersburg, Russia tied by oval framed TEHERAN datestamp in black (5/9) with blue St. Petersburg arrival cds on reverse.

2 ch. green and 10 ch. orange used on cover to Leipzig tied solely by oval IMPERIAL BANK OF PERSIA 7 MESHED cachet in violet, reverse with Meched cds (25/12), Teheran cds (26/12) and Leipzig arrival cds (Jan 20). A most unusual usage.

8 ch. brown, a vertical strip of three used on reverse of 1895 registered cover to Belgium tied by oval framed TEHERAN datestamps in black (27/8) and by Brussels arrival (24/9). A scarce usage during the short period of the 8 chahi single rate.

8 ch. brown pair and 1 kr. yellow & rose red used on double weight 1896 registered cover to Amsterdam tied by TEHERAN datestamps with arrival (Oct 1) on reverse.

10 ch. orange, used on cover 1895 to USA tied by SCHIMERAN datestamp struck in blue, reverse with ´New York/Paid All´duplex (Sept 29) and Ledgerwood arrival cds.

10 ch. orange, 2 kr. brown & sky-blue and irregular block of five 5 kr. violet-blue & silver all tied to Barnameh (Postman´s Waybill) form by seven strikes of the TEHERAN datestamp (15/11) in black. Reverse with MESHED arrival cds (2/11). See Shaida page 360 for type, a fresh and fine example .

16 ch. pale rose red, fine example used on 8 ch. brown postal stationery envelope sent registered to Germany, tied by SULTANABAD datestamp (Type II) in black, with red registered label and Teheran transit cds. Reverse with green wafer seal and Triptis arrival cds (Jan 3, 1897). A very rare stamp on letter.

1 kr. rose & yellow, 5 kr. violet-blue & silver and 10 kr. rose & gold in a vertical pair used on 1894 Barnameh (Postman´s Waybill) all tied by TEHERAN datestamps (28/3) in black. Slight split at left away from adhesives on docketing of receipt otherwise superb and very rare. Illustrated in Shaida on page 357.

5 ch. locally handstamped in violet on 8 ch. brown, used on reverse of cover with 1894 2 ch. green and 8 ch. brown tied by TAURIS datestamps with Teheran (25/5) arrival datestamps (one with date error) alongside. An unusual mixed franking.

1897 (Nov): 1 kr. in violet handstamped locally on 5 kr. violet-blue & silver, a superb sheet of 25 subjects with full sheet margins on three sides, showing black ´T.P.´ handstamp at top. Fresh and fine multiple (Mi.750,-)

1 kr. violet local handstamp on 5 kr. violet-blue & silver used on 1897 registered cover with 1894 2 ch. green marginal pair on reverse to Paris; tied by TABRIZ datestamps in black. Paris arrival (Dec 12) on front of a rare and attractive cover.

2 kr. handstamped locally in violet on 5 kr. violet-blue and silver, used on large ´Barnameh´ (Postman´s Waybill), with the scarce adhesive tied by TABRIZ datestamp in black. See Shaida page 359 for a similar example.

1897: 1 c. grey and 2 ch. brown on white paper, used to pay the Printed Matter rate to Austria on printed Arène Aftandilian Stamp Dealer´s advertising envelope, tied by TABRIZ datestamps in black. Graz arrival (Feb 19, 1899) on reverse. Scarce and fine usage.

1 ch. grey, 2 ch. brown in a strip of three and 5 ch. yellow used on 1898 12 ch. dull rose postal stationery envelope used to Bali-Boeleleng, Java all tied by ISPAHAN datestamps in black. Reverse showing Bouchir transit (31/10), Bombay cds (11/11), Singapore cds (29/11) and ´N.I. Agent´ squared circle datestamp alongside Singaradji arrival (7/12) squared circle. Roughly opened at top but a remarkable destination and a very scarce usage.

1897: 2 ch. brown and 10 ch. blue used on reverse of cover to the British Vice Consulate in Aalborg, Denmark; with Persian and Russian Post Office GAOUDAN datestamps in violet or black. Disinfected and struck on obverse with straight line OBESSARENKO in violet. Some staining at side of envelope but a rare usage to an unusual destination.

3 ch. purple, 4 ch. vermilion and 16 ch. green used on registered cover to Switzerland tied by SULTANABAD cds´s in black, with red registered label above. Reverse with Teheran transits (Oct 15 and 17). A fine and attractive usage.

4 ch. vermilion and 1 kr. ultramarine used on reverse of 1898 registered cover to Oortakeui, Constantinople, tied by oval framed TEHERAN MAIDAN datestamps in black. Austrian P.O. Constantinople arrival cds at right (21/12) and Galata cds in blue above. Scarce. Ex collection Herry Schaefer.

1897: 5 ch. yellow, fine example used on reverse of cover to Teheran tied by scarce usage of ASTRABAD (Type II) datestamp struck in red (16/3) with repeated strike alongside.

8 ch. orange on white paper, single, pair and strip of three used on reverse of 1898 quadruple weight registered cover to Zurich all tied by SULTANABAD datestamps in black. Teheran transit and arrival (Sept 8) cds alongside. Front with red registered label and oval ´R´marking. The 8 chahis is a rare stamp on letter.

1 kr. ultramarine used on 5 ch. yellow postal stationery envelope, sent registered to Bern, Switzerland and tied by TEHERAN cds´s (8/8) in black. Square ´R´marking in black and reverse with Bern arrival cds (7 Sept 1898). in black.

2 kr. pink and 5 kr. green used on fourth class Barnameh (Postman´s Waybill) for a parcel boldly tied by ABBASSI datestamp in black, with manuscript notation below ´the sum of 7 krans is correct´and further strike of the datestamp. Rare and fine, for a similar usage see Shaida page 359. 

1 ch. grey, 3 ch. lilac and 8 ch. orange all used on violet arabesque overprinted 12 ch. dull rose red postal stationery envelope to Colombo, Ceylon tied by TEHERAN MAIDAN oval framed datestamps in black.  Reverse with ´Colombo / Registered´ arrival (Nov 11, 1899) datestamp in black. Registration cachet on front - an extremely early usage of the green paper issue - arriving in Colombo eleven days after the stated issue date in Gibbons and Michel.

1899: 1 ch. grey, 5 ch. yellow and 12 ch dull rose used on 1901 registered Newspaper Wrapper to France all tied by TEHERAN DEPART datestamps in black with Russian ´Baku´transit cds and Paris (22/11) arrival cds alongside. Oval ´R´ marking on front, a delightful and rare usage. 

1 ch. grey block of four and single 1 kr. carmine red used on reverse of 1900 registered cover to Paris cancelled by scarce BODJNOURD datestamps in black. Transits of GAOUDAN Persian and Russian Post Offices (Jan 15) and faint Paris arrival cds alongside. Front with fine strike of OBESSARENKO straight line in violet of Desinfection and international ´R´ marking applied at Russian P.O. Rare and very fine cover

2 ch. brown, 4 ch. vermilion and 8 ch. orange used on 1900 10 ch. grey-blue postal stationery envelope sent registered to Manchester, all cancelled by SULTANABAD datestamps in black. Teheran transit at left, red registration label and London transit in red (July 31) on front. Usual slight bends but scarce.

1 kran violet optd. in red used on 1902 cover to Teheran in combination with perforated red registration label used as 1 chahi adhesive (even though cover was registered in manuscript), the 1 kran tied by HAMADAN cds (8/11) in black and the registration laberl tied on reverse witth Teheran cds (13/11). An extraordinary usage on cover

Meshed Provisional 1902: 2 ch. black, a fine used vertical pair, pin-perforated between and at right, each stamp signed Victor Castaigne in red, cancelled by large part MECHED cds in black. Minor clipping at upper left of first stamp but a rare and most unusual multiple. Cert. Sismoindo (2001).
