4 r. red, fresh colour, just touched at top and bottom, tied by underinked cds. of Ambata to front of large lettersheet to Riobamba, a scarce stamp on a lettersheet, signed Holcombe with certificate

4 r. brown-red, a fine horizontal strip of three with typical margins tied by cds. "QUITO 20 69" to small part of letter, quite scarce (Scott Nr. 6)

1866, 4 r. red with typical margins in combination with single ½ r. blue and a horizontal pair plus single 1 r. orange-yellow with diamond of dots on large part of legal letter (affixed to another letter) to Quito, a very rare and attractive three colour franking (Scott Nr. 6,4,2)

4 r. red in combination with 1 r. orange-buff tied by cds. "GUARANDA 3 JUIN 68" to front of lettersheet to Chimba, the lettersheet has been cleaned, stamps lifted and replaced, a rare franking, signed Holcombe with certificate (Scott Nr. 6,4)

Provisional Overprint "50 Cts. 50" on 10c. green, block of four with clear violet cds. "SCADTA ESMERALDAS ECUADOR -7.OCT.1928",  a very fine and magnificent rare multiple of this stamp with just 100 printed and being much rarer in used condition, certificate Moorhouse

1866, 1 pia. claret, 2 copies tied by blue "POSTE SICE-REALI EGIZIANE CAIRO 16 APR. 67" to lettersheet with combination franking Italy 1865, 20 c. on 15 c., strip of 3 and 3 single stamps, tied by dotted "234" of Alexandria, to Venice with transit and arrival marks; the addressee's name cut away, still fine, a very rare and most attractive franking

1867, 1 pia. red, tied by cds. "REGIE POSTE EGIZIANE CAIRO 27 MRS. 69" in combination with Italy 40 c. tied by numeral "234" of Alexandria to entire letter with adjacent boxed "PIROSCAFI POSTALI ITALIANI" to Florence; the Italian stamp with light bend, otherwise fine; a scarce combination cover

ITALIAN POST: 1863, Sardinia 1855, 40 c. red-vermilion, vertical pair and single stamp, the latter one slightly touched at top, otherwise clear to large margins, tied by blue "ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO POSTE ITALIANE 19 APR 63" to envelope to Florence, showing on reverse several transit and arrival marks incl. blue boxed "PIROSCAFI POSTALI ITALIANI", fine and very scarce, sign. Colla with certificate (2015)

1869, Entire letter from Alexandria to Genova, franked with 2 pairs 1863, 10 c. brown-orange, cancelled by boxed "PIROSCAFI POSTALI ITALIANI"; transit mark of Brindisi and arrival mark of November 11, 1869, little unfresh, scarce

De La Rue 60 c. violet, tied by dotted "234" with adjacent "ALESSANDRIA  D'EGITTO POSTE ITALIANE 22 OTT 72" to lettersheet to Winterthur, Switzerland, fine and scarce

1874, ESTERO 5 c. grey, 4 horizontal pairs, the lower right copy with variety "Lower right corner ornament not modified", tied by numeral "234" to lettersheet from "ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO POSTE ITALIANE 6 DEC. 74" to Livorno; a rare and attractive franking, the only entire from Alexandria with this variety, sign. Colla with certificate (2015) (Sassone 3b, 3)

1902, provisional issue for Meched, 5ch. with good margins, tied by cds. "MECHED 15/3" (date inverted) to reverse of envelope to Isfahan, fine, certificate Sadri (2015)
