1858, 2 gr. carmin in block of 4 with large margins, used with 2 somewhat week strikes of svolazzo of Spezzano Albanese, the lower stamps show part of marginal watermark "B.T.", very fine and scarce, certificates A. Diena (1961) and Enzo Diena (1985) (Sassone 7e)

1867, Imperforated issue 3 c. on rose-grey, upper left sheet corner with good margins and fresh colour, unused with large part o.g., very fine, sign. Colla with certificate (2010) (Sassone 14)

1868, 5 c. on greenish-blue (celeste), 10 c. on orange and 40 c. on intense yellow, tied to envelope from "ROMA 17 NOV. 69" to Dublin with French transit mark on front; 5 c. corner crease, otherwise very fine, certificate Colla (2016)

1859, 1 baj. on grey-brown, clear to wide margins, together with 2 baj. on yellow, slightly touched at right, otherwise wide to large margins, tied by light grid to small piece, very attractive, sign. Colla with certificate (2016)

1854, 20 c. blue, horizontal pair with good to large margins, cancelled by Turino cds., very fine, sign. Colla with certificate

1855/63, 5 c.-80 c., all with good margins and neatly cancelled, 10 c. and 20 c. with red cds., 80 c. with central "PIROSCAFI POSTALI FRANCESI", all sign. Colla

1851, 1 cr. carmine-violet on bluish, fresh deep colour and good even margins, unused with part original gum, on reverse tiny slight thinning, otherwise very fine; a rare stamp, sign. "G.C" and certificate Colla (Sassone 4c)

1861, issue for the province of Napoli 2 gr. blue with good margins, tied by clear "annullato" to large piece with adjacent "SALVIA", very fine and scarce, certificate Dr. Avi (2005) (Sassone 20d)

2 gr. blue and 10 gr. bistre with clear red "BARI 20 FEB 1862" to registered lettersheet with adjacent oval "Bari" to Naples; a fine letter with this rare cancellation, only used in February and March 1862 for registered letters; sign. Colla with certificate (2017)

10 gr. bistre and horizontal pair 2 gr. blue, all with good to wide margins, tied by clear cds "CASTELLANETA 3 SET 61" to registered lettersheet (not complete on reverse) to Napoli; very fine and attracitive, certificate Enzo Diena (1991) (Sassone 22c, 20b)

1915/16, Red Cross, prepared but unissued set of five values, apparently prepared for use in the occupied territories,  4 values with bottom sheet margin, mint never hinged, a very fine and rare set, signed Diena with certificate 

1921, Dante Alighieri 15-40c. imperforated, complete set in sheets of 50, fresh colours and mint never hinged, the top margin cut ireegulary affecting two 40c. stamps, unusaul natural gumwrinkles and bends, light vertical fold each, otherwise fine and attractive, signed Raybudi in the sheet margin with certificate

AEGEAN ISLANDS: 1932, Garibaldi, Fifteen complete sets, one general issue and one for each of the islands including Castellorizo, all fresh and well centered for the issue, most likely canceled-to-order as usual. 

1934, Football Issue 20c, 25c (x2) and 50c with a 5c Second Pittorica on a cover from "COO 19.7.34" cds to Austria. Clean, very fine, highly desirable.

Cassos 1913/14: Two items, one stampless soldier's free frank cover to Italy with "CASO (Egeo)" cds and "PALERMO" arrival and one photo postcard sent to Egypt franked with two Italian 5c stamps tied by "POSTE ITALIANE - CASSOS (EGEO)" cds with "ALEXANDRIA," "CAIRO" and another transit and arrival cds. Proper usages, very fine.

Halki 1912/13: Group of two, one stampless military free frank with a blue "POSTE ITALIANE KARKI (EGEO)" cds to "BARI" Italy arrival on the back; one registered cover to Germany franked with an Italian Aegean Island Mi.9IV tied by similar "KARKI" cds in violet, "RODI" transit and two other illegible transit and arrival cds. Properly franked and used, very fine.

Nisiros Palus 1914: Picture postcard franked with 2x5C "Nisiros", tied with "R.R. Poste Italiane PALUS (Niseros Egeo) 7.7.14" cds, sent to "Constantinopoli" cds. Beautiful and scarce

Piscopi 1937: Cover to New York City, USA, franked with an Italian Aegean Mi.111 tied by "POSTE ITALIANE - PISCOPI (EGEO) 1-7.37" cds and "RODI" transit cds. Part of the back-flap torn and missing, otherwise a genuine, proper franking and usage from a very difficult origin. 

Rhodes island 1942: Large not prepaid official cover (fold) sent from "SALACO Rodi Egeo 19.12.42" sent to Rhodes, with pair of 10C postage due stamps & 5C Pittorica, tied with "Posta Aerea RODI Egeo 20.12.42". Rare use of postage dues

Rhodes Jannadi 1916: Free of charge picture postcard (special issue for the "Corpo d'Occupazione dell'Egeo), marked with "R.R. Poste Italiane JANNADI (Rodi Egeo) 24.2.16" cds, sent to Napoli. Beautiful and scarce

CRETE: 1900/12, Complete La Canea Issues, mint and/or used with some duplication

1906, LA CANEA Overprinted Italian stamps, the 5 Lire in a used block of four with "LA CANEA UFFICIO POSTALE" cds. Fresh, signed Sorani and with his certificate (1999). Rare multiple.

Canea 1900: 1pi/25C 1900 tied on corner cover with "LA CANEA Ufo Postale Italiano 18.9.00" datestamp, sent to "Triest" cds. Rare on cover (high catalogue value), very nice condition

Canea 1900: 1pi/25C 1900 tied on cover with "LA CANEA Ufo Postale Italiano 21.9.00" cds, sent to "Constantinople" Austrian P.O. cds. Rare on cover (high catalogue value), nice condition

Canea 1900: 25C 1893 tied on corner cover with "LA CANEA Ufo Postale Italiano 29.1.00" datestamp, sent to Benghazi. Very early usage (first month) on civilian mail, ink stain and folding. A very desirable item for the collectors of Crete

Canea 1901: 60C Parcel Post form 1890, used at "LA CANEA Ufo Postale Italiano 27.5.01" for a parcel sent to Geneva, very scarce and clean, with the usual pinholes

Canea 1907: 10C 1906 tied on picture postcard with "LA CANEA Ufo Postale Italiano 15.3.07" datestamp, sent to Tubingen Germany. Rare stamp, very rare on document (high catalogue value), good condition

Canea 1909: 1L Parcel Post form 1905, canceled with faint "LA CANEA Ufo Postale Italiano 1.6.09" for a parcel sent to Geneva, very scarce with wear and tear
