5 c. red-brown on blued paper, block of 4, nice colour, the right vertical pair partly touched/cut into at right, otherwise clear to large margins, used with 6-bar target. A very rare block in fine condition; just 2 further blocks of 4 have been recorded of this stamp. (Scott 1)

5 c. red-brown on blued paper with horizontal pair 10 c. deep bright blue on yellowish paper, all slightly touched, but mostly clear to large margins, tied by target handstamp, with adjacent straight line “SANTIAGO” to lettersheet with part of contents to Valparaiso. The left 10 c. tiny marginal nick at upper left, otherwise very fine and fresh. One of only two recorded covers with the complete first issue of Chile used in combination. 10 c. deep bright blue on yellowish paper, vertical strip of three with large margins at top and at base and partly shaved at sides, tied to cover with adjacent red "SANTIAGO 3 FEBRO 54" to Valparaiso. The cover slightly folded back at left, otherwise fine. A rare multiple of this stamp on cover; just one further strip of three on entire recorded.

5 c. rose brown, horizontal strip of 7 with ample to mostly large margins and parts of 5 neighbour stamps, and single copy, tied by target cancels to letter sheet with adjacent clear  red “SANTIAGO 6 AGTO 51” to Valparaiso; correctly prepaid for the letter up to 2 ounces. An exceptional and rare franking of great beauty, showing the only recorded strip of seven of this stamp on cover. Certificate Philatelic Foundation (1997) (Scott3)

1854, Desmadryl 5 c. red brown, horizontal strip of eight, slightly cut into at left, otherwise full to large margins, neatly tied by target handstamp to entire sealed letter with adjacent red "SANTIAGO 26 ABRIL 55" to right parties or. The entire with usual falls, the strip in extremely fine condition. A very attractive letter of greatest rarity; the largest strip recorded on cover in the classic period. 1854, Desmadryl, 5 c. red brown, vertical pair from the lower right sheet corner, nice fresh colour and good to large margins, showing ca. 1/5,5 mm sheet margins, together with two single copies Desmadryl 10 c. blue, both with good to large margins, all tied by mostly clear target cancels, to entire letter with adjacent red "SANTIAGO 17 AGTO 55" , to Valparaiso. Some minor peripheral age spotting around the stamps, otherwise very fine. A rare letter to broad with the largest recorded strip of this stamp on cover. On reverse transit mark of the British PO at Valparaiso and red “SEEBRIEF PER ENGLAND UND AACHEN”. Upon arrivalcharged with a total of 54 sgr. plus ¼ sgr. delivery fee.very fine. 5 c. burnt sienna with large margins, Showing part of neighbour stamp at lower right, in combination with Gilet 5 c. chestnut brown, horizontal pair, as far as visible large margins with portion of adjoining stamp at right, tied by target handstamp to letter sheet from Valparaiso 30.7.1855 to France with adjacent  “PANAMA / TRANSIT” in red, on reverse transit marks of  British P.O. Valparaiso and London (Sept 18). Charged upon arrival with  '21' décimes. The only recorded cover with a mixed franking of Gilet and lithographed, addressed to Europe. Signed Calves and certificate BPA (2019). (Scott 4+7)

5 c. burnt sienna, horizontal strip of four, in combination with Second London printing 5 c. brown-red on bluish and Desmadryl 10 c. blue, the later one clear at lower left, otherwise all values with good to large margins, two with parts of neighbour stamps, tied by clear grid to letter sheet (endorsed “Chanaral, 15.10.”) with adjacent black “P:CALDERA 20 OBRE 55” to Valparaiso, paying the postage for a letter up to 1½ ounces + 5 centavos sea postage. Very fine and fresh. The only triple mixed franking recorded in the classic period of Chile and any South American country. Undoubtedly the most important and appealing letter in Chilean philately. certificates RPSL (1978) and Moorhouse (2010) (Scott 4+6+8)

 5 c. dull chocolate, horizontal strip of six, large margins at base, otherwise good to slightly cut into wit 3 stamps clear to full, together with horizontal pair and two single copies (former pair), tied by target handstamp to cover front with adjacent red “SANTIAGO 27 JULIO..”. Lithographed 5 c. orange-brown, vertical block of six with watermark inverted, one stamp touched at right and one very slightly at upper right, otherwise good to large margins, with small sheet margin at top and parts of two adjoining stamps at lower right, neatly cancelled with target.Very fine.very rare and attractive multiple. 5 c. red-brown, two horizontal strips of four and horizontal strip of three (formerly an irregular block of eleven stamps, 2 stamps with transfer varieties CHILF resp. squeezed CHILE), shaved to huge margins, the right strip of four just touched at right, otherwise enormous margins with parts of 11 neighbours stamps, tied to lettersheet (not quite complete on reverse)  from “SANTIAGO 10 AGTO 54” to Valparaiso. One stamp unfortunately removed / lost, however a remarkable 3 ounce rate cover with rare multiples. (Scott 7a)

5 c. red-brown with ‘ivory heads’, marginal block of 24, positions 91-96/127-132, clear to large margins with 17 mm. sheet margin at right, The block hows a pre-fold between the third and fourth horizontal row, a tear in the sheet margin also affects One stamps slightly, otherwise in very fine condition for such a rare multiple.
