1853, folded letter from "VERA-CRUZ NO 4 1853" to Voltri with nice strike of boxed "COLONIES/&c ART. 13" alongside, sent with ship "Avon" up to St. Thomas, there transshipped onto the "Magdalena" up to Southampton and then to Genoa, there charged with "17" decimes and redirected to Voltri with red straight-line "RETRODATO" on reverse, a attractive entire
1866, Maximilian 13c. blue with close to good margins tied by cds. "VERACRUZ DEC 66" to folded lettersheet endorsed "via St. Nazaire" to Genoa, with octogonal VERA-CRUZ PAQ. FR. B. No. 2 14 DEC 66" alongside, upon arrival charged "10" decimes, some age spots, a scarce cover with an issue rarely discovered on maritime mail
1857, folded letter dated "Lima 12.8 1857" addressed to Chiavari, charged "14" decimes upon arrival, fine
1866, Lama 10c. red tied by cds. "LIMA 13 OCT 867" to envelope via London to Rome, with accountancy marking "G.B. 1F90C" alongside, upon delivery "1 35" was charged, adhesive some minor abhrasion, a fine entire
Lama 20c. brown diagonally bisected tied by framed "ARICA" to envelope endorsed "Via Panama St. Nazaire", with three line "PANAMA 29 DE 1876 TRANSIT" alongside, the cover was delivered to the Colon French P.O. which sent the letter to St. Nazair by the "J" Line, upon delivery charged with "17" decimes, thus postage due 10, 60c. and 1l. applied and tied by cds. "GENOVA 28 GEN 77", postage due and enevelope with faults, nevertheless an attractive entire and to our knowledge the only cover with a bisected stamp of this issue addressed to Italy, signed Enzo Diena with certificate (1986)
