1866/75, 1 kop. black/yellow, 5 kop. black/lilac and 10 kop. black/brown on cover from "ODESSA 12.NOV.1873" to England with the rare accountancy mark "3" (groschen) (1½ gr. for German and 1½ Gr. British postage), light age wear; just 5 entires recorded with this marking  

1908, Coat of arms 15-20k., 40 resp 20 stamps in multiples, revalued x 100, tied by cds. "MOLOCHANSK 30 10 21" to front and reverse of cover via Moscow with three triangle censor mark to Witzenhausen, some faults, but a scarce cover

1910, Coat of arms 10rbl. imperforated as block of 9 tied by cds. "MOSCOW 7 8 22" to reverse of registered cover to the American Consul in Riga, in addition registered cover with same, but perforated, franking sent to Rathenow, some minor creases as to be expected, a very rare and possibly unique usage with most of the imperforated stamps having been despatched in Ukraine, a major item for an RSFSR exhibit

FISCALSTAMPS: 1907, Imperial Crown 3rbl. blue as horizontal strip of 8 with margins at side with red overprint "ОБРАЗЕЦЪ", mint never hinged, small crease in margin only, very fine (Barefoot 26)

SOUTH-RUSSIA:  1919, two covers sent from Captain Hickie from Ekaterinodar with censor cachet to England and one cover from Michel Popoff, a Russian trainee with the British Aviation Mission, with cancel "ARMY POST OFFICE 30 JU 19" and censor mark "370", the latter some tears and wrinkles and missing backflap, otherwise fine

SOUTH-RUSSIA:  1919, cover from Captain Hickie, who arrived in Salonika during April 1919 en route to join the mission at Ekaterinodar, with cancel "ARMY POST OFFICE S.X.8 19 AP 19" and censor mark "245", fine

1919, Handstamp on 25-35k. and Liberation of Riga 15k. tied by cds. to envelope, folded, otherwise fine

1921,two registered covers from Gallipoli with receipts attached. Both can be matched to entries in the Gallipoli Registration counterpart book which has 196 fully completed used receipts presend and four unused ones at the end. Only known receipt book ex the Postmater Collection of Sredinsky and almost certainly an elaborate and extraordinary fake

KUSTANAI: 1920, 5k. imperforated, four singles and 20k. perforated block of four with overprint type IV, tied by cds. "KUSTANAI 26 6 20" to reverse of registered cover to Magdeburg, a interesting item providing both a scarce example of mail abroad in the first month of resumed mail services and undoubtedly rare example of use of these postmaster provisionals on foreign mail, vertical fold not affecting adhesives, fine

KUSTANAI: Interesting group of four pieces showing in total 20 stamps (one defect) with "large P" and "РУБ" overprint, ex Trevor Pateman

MOLCHANOVO: 5r. on 5k., 10r. on 10k. and 15r. on 15k., used resp. tied by cds. to small piece, very useful group, ex Trevor Pateman

OLYOKMINSK: 14k. on fragment from which another stamp has been lifted, the fragment probably ex Lipschutz. Plus group of 8 stamps. Mint stamps are catalogued for this issue. The 5k. imperf is a fake, the others appear genuine, the 20k. signed Pohl, the 15k. Soviet Philatelic Association, the 4k. with Yakutsk cancel, ex Trevor Pateman

ROGACHEV: Complete group except for the 5 on 5k. imperf, group of used copies with appropriate part cancels, each described, two stamps signed Dr. Jem, ex Trevor Pateman
