1875, 2 k. black and pale rose on horizontal laid paper, tied by Swedish cds. "GOTEBORG 6.8.1883" to folded wrapper from St. Petersburg to Landsrona, unusual combination, very fine

1884, 7k. blue vertical strip of three tied by cds. of "MERV ZAKASPS" to cover to Finland with manuscript registration and Finnish arrival mark, cover some faults. Located in the Kara Kum desert, Merv was occupied and annexed to the Transcaspaian Oblast in 1884  

1908, 1 rbl. imperforated and two singles 20k. tied by cds. "Petrograd 28 7 18" to cover to German-occupied Kiev (Skoropadsky administration), franked at the second Inland weight step (Postage 35 + 35; Registration 70 kop), Kiev receiver of 8 8 18. German-occupied Ukraine is a rare destination for Bolshevik mail at this period but was possible under the terms of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, some folds and spots, yet attractive

1922, 22500 rbl. horizontal pair with additional franking tied by cds. of "Stavropol 1 6 22" to post-revolutionary Money Transfer formular without Arms, used to send 500 pyb rom Stavropol to Verkhozim (cancel on reverse), the franking provided by stamps silently revalued from 50 000 to 5 rub  to make a 1% fee. Unusual item, filing faults

Russia Civil War: 1920 (September) ordinary letter from MELITOPOL 5 9 20 to Denmark with Copenhagen roller cancel receiver on reverse. Franked on reverseWrangel issue 5 rublei on 5 kop perf, routed to Constantinople where the rare cachet of the Russian Post was applied. In 1920 the Russian Post (not to be confused with the Refugee Post) handled incoming mail from White Russia and the cachet enabled onward transmission without the addition of Turkish adhesives or payment of Postage Due. Very rare.
 

SHIPMAIL ON THE CASPIAN SEE/RIVER VOLGA: "Служба Связи В-К.В.Ф л Почта-Астрахань 11 АВГ 1920" the very rare ornate cachet of the Communications Service of the Volga-Caspian Naval Flotilla / Pot Astrakhan on coat of arms 2-3k. singles and 10k. as strip of 5 on parcel card addressed to Saratov with receiver cancel,the revalued adhesives correctly pay the 55 rubel fee, some minor faults and some ageing.
