"OFFICIER BRIEF LUXEMBURG" superb oval handstamp on envelope franked with Luxemburg 1859, 37½ c. green with good to large margins, tied by cds. "LUXEMBOURG 29 AVRIL 67", addressed to Wesel with transit railway mark "TRIER/BINGERBRÜCK" and receiving mark, very fine, sign. Kruschel
Prussian postal stationery envelope 2 sgr. blue with additional franking 1st issue 1 sgr. on rose with clear to full margins, endorsed "Militairbrief der Bundesfestung Luxembourg" addressed to an instrument dealer at Mark-Neukirchen in Saxony, the stamp cancelled with clear numeral "1520" with adjacent "TRIER 24 4"; seal on reverse cut out, otherwise fine. A very rare letter; we have no further Prussian postal stationery recorded with a 1st issue franking
Prussia postal stationery envelope 3 sgr. yellow with adjacent dispatch mark "LUXEMBOURG 1.. SEPT. 6..", addressed to Frau von Rabe, Lesnian by Czerwinsk, which is recorded on several covers from the fortress, on reverse railroad mark "TRIER / 14 9 II / BINGERBRÜCK" and receiving mark. This is the only recorded example of a Prussian stationery envelope transported with Luxemburg state post. A key piece of the postal history of the fortress

1852, 10 c. black (III. printing) unused block of 4 with clear to large margins on 3 sides, at left partly touched and the lower left stamp slightly cut into with tiny improvement in the lower left corner; nice fresh colour and part original gum. An exceedingly rare multiple, one of 2 recorded unused blocks of Luxemburg No. 1. Certificates Demuth BPP (1985) and Goebel (1990)

10 c. greenish-black, vertical strip of 3 with large even margins, tied by circle of 9 bars of Luxemburg to entire letter (side flaps not quite complete) to London; part paid to Ostende, erroneously applied "PD" crossed out, on arrival charged with "6" pence. The strip has been lifted for inspection and is replaced by hinges. A fine and very scarce entire, certificate Böttger BPP (2019)

1859/63, Coat of arms 10 c. blue in block of 4, 3 sides with good to mostly large margins, slightly touched at left, where the block is slightly affixed over the edge of the cover, tied by rural cancel with adjacent "ESCH-S-L'ALZETTE 3 IV 1865" to small envelope to France; the block with vertical crease between the stamps and the left pair with some minor marginal creasing. A still attractive and rare franking; certificate Demuth BPP (1983)
